Cooper Corbett

Hi! I’m Cooper Corbett a Legal Technology Consultant at TILT Legal. In my role I focus on my passion for bringing together people, process and technology to help teams succeed.

I have a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Computer Science both from Monash University. Throughout my law studies I explored my interest in the tensions between law and technology — considering how law intersects with domains such as AI / machine learning, smart contracts, blockchains, startups and venture capital. During my Computer Science studies I specialised in developing AI / machine learning models and predictive data science. I also gained experience at leading software development teams to create software at all levels of the software stack for different users, purposes and environments.

I consider my technical skillset across law and software development to be unique and valuable. Though I ultimately credit my successes to my ability to connect with people and deeply empathise with their needs and challenges. This empathy has been fostered by my varied experiences within law firms, consulting businesses, leadership positions and customer service roles.

Growing up on the Mornington Peninsula I am an avid surfer and hiker. I am an adventurer at heart and have travelled to over 40 countries — surfing, hiking and skiing in as many of them as possible.
